Interview Video Link    From Interviewing my sister, I gained much insight into the process students undergo in an ESL program. I found it very interesting to learn about the different methods her teachers would use to help their students with the learning process. As stated in the video, her teachers would incorporate visuals, turn-and-talks, playing games, and partner work, and what I really enjoyed was hearing about how working with her partner helped her feel more confident in practicing her English. From my sister's responses, it was made clear to me that her ESL teachers were ensuring students were gaining comprehensible input throughout their learning. My Language Experience

Vblog 1 Video            Hello everyone! My name is Karina Escobar! Spanish has surrounded my language experience. However, I’ve learned that Spanish completely differs from place to place. My mom is from Venezuela, and my dad is from El Salvador. Growing up, I realized how different Spanish is from South to Central America. Communicating with my grandparents and family, who know only Spanish, has been the greatest gift my parents will ever give me. It has allowed me to build relationships with family I do not get the opportunity to visit frequently. I have spent countless hours talking with my grandma over the phone and having her catch me up on what has been going on in her life. I have several family members I have never met in El Salvador, but because I can speak Spanish, I have been able to have a relationship with them through our phone calls.
